Easter day was a holiday	イースターの日は休日
Of all days of the year,	一年の中でも一番の
And all the little schoolfellows went out to play	学校の小さな仲間たちは外に遊びに出かけた
But Sir William was not there.	でもサー・ウィリアムはそこにはいなかった

Mamma went to the School wife house	ママは学校の女先生の家に行った
And knocked at the ring,	そしてベルを鳴らした
Saying, "Little Sir William, if you are there,	それからこう言った、「かわいいサー・ウィリアム、そこにいるのなら、
Pray let your mother in."	ママを中に入れてちょうだい」

The School wife open'd the door and said:	学校の女先生はドアを開けて言った：
"He is not here today.	「今日はここには来ていませんよ
He is with the little schoolfellows out on the green	草地に小さな仲間といます
Playing some pretty play."	楽しい遊びをしてます」

Mamma went to the Boyne water	ママはボイン川に行った
That is so wide and deep,	そこはとても大きくて深い

Oh pity your mother's weep."	おお、ママが泣いてるのを可哀想に思って」
