Morayはスコットランド北東岸の地名で、マリと発音するらしい。日本語ではマレー、マリー、モレーなどと表記されるようだ。1592年ハントレイ伯爵に殺害されたマリ伯爵ジェームス・スチュアート２世を歌ったものという。
